Grouting, in geotechnical terms, generally refers to the process of using a slurry, commonly composed of a mix of cement and water, that is used to improve the strength of a foundations subgrade.
It can be used in conjunction with other materials as a reinforcement or by itself as the principle material. Common applications include injecting the slurry under pressure to fill voids, displace water, and improve the load bearing capacity of the soil.
